No account. No personal details.
There are no accounts and no sign-up. We don’t collect your name, email address or phone number through the app.
Your logs stay on your device
Everything you log — cravings, vapes, triggers, your plan and settings — is stored only on your device. We have no servers that hold it.
Deleting the app, or using Reset in the app, deletes this data.
Location is optional
Location is off unless you turn it on. If you choose to use it, snub. uses it to spot places where cravings often happen and give you arrival heads-ups.
Positions are rounded to about 100 metres, stored only on your device, and never sent to us or anyone else. You can turn location off or forget places at any time.
Notifications happen on your phone
Heads-ups are scheduled on your device. There is no push server.
Anonymous app usage analytics
The app uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service based in the EU, to count app events such as “craving started” or “distraction used”. These counts help us improve the app.
TelemetryDeck uses a random ID created on your device, which is hashed before sending. The analytics never include names, free text, locations, money or device identifiers.
No ads. No selling your data.
There are no ads. We don’t sell or share your data. We don’t track you across apps or websites.

snub. is aimed at people aged 16 and over.
Your rights under UK GDPR
Under UK GDPR, you have rights over your personal data. Depending on the circumstances, these include:
- Being informed about how your data is used.
- Accessing your personal data and correcting inaccurate data.
- Having personal data deleted.
- Restricting or objecting to processing.
- Receiving your data in a portable format.
- Withdrawing consent where processing relies on consent.
Because your app logs and location are stored only on your device, we can’t access them for you. You can delete your logs using Reset or by deleting the app, and turn location off or forget places at any time.
To ask about your rights, contact enquiries@vapeguardian.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator.
